Malomir and Pioneer Gold Concentrators
Global leader in minerals and metals processing technology, Outotec Oyj, has carried out the detail engineering and delivery of gold pressure oxidation (POX) technology with the Russian Petropavlovsk Group of Companies during 2012-13. The company is the third biggest gold producer in Russia.CTS Engtec was responsible for layout design, process instrumentation, process piping and process electrification of Malomir and Pioneer gold concentrators. Both of the plants are located in Amur region, Russian Far East.
The contract further strengthens CTS Engtec´s position as one of the leading engineering companies in mining and metals industry.

Pioneer is a hard-rock open-pit mine in the Amur region, Russian Far East. Ore at Pioneer is currently processed in an on-site RIP plant. In addition, during the warmer months of the year, the mine’s heap-leach facility is used to process its lower grade ore. The mine is one of the largest gold mines in Russia in terms of its annual gold production and its processing capacity. It is also the Group’s flagship mine, producing cirka 47% of its total gold production in 2012.
Malomir is the Petropavlovsk Group’s first large-scale mine located in the north-east of the Amur region.
