UPM celebrated inaugural opening of expanded Kymi pulp mill in Kuusankoski, Finland
UPM inaugurated its newly revamped Kymi pulp mill in Kuusankoski following a EUR 160 million investment in production expansion. Finland's Prime Minister Juha Sipilä officiated the proceedings by signing the charter together with UPM President and CEO Jussi Pesonen.
The planning of the KYMI-700 project was commissioned from the local engineering and project management company CTS Engtec Oy. The project employed the company's automation, electricity, energy, plant, process and structural steel sections.
Managing Director of CTS Engtec, Antti Lukka, was satisfied with the results of the KYMI700 -project.
