Stand of the City of Kouvola at IndustrialGreenTec fair in Hannover
Kouvola Innovation Ltd. (Kinno), the economic development company of the City of Kouvola, will have a stand at the IndustrialGreenTec trade fair in Hannover between 8 and 12 April 2013.
CTS Engtec will present its renewable energy projects at Kinno’s stand, including the design and project management project of the Kouvola biogas plant, which became operational in 2011, and the functioning of the process.
According to Antti Surokivi, Director, Energy at CTS Engtec, renewable energy is in the centre of the transformation of the European energy structures.
- Efforts to slow down the climate change and the rising cost of using fossil fuels act as drivers in the development of the new energy infrastructure in Europe. We are experiencing a major change as more emphasis will be put on renewable and low-carbon energy sources, Surokivi says.
- At the same time, there will also be substantial changes in consumption patterns as consumers take measures to use energy more efficiently so that they can reduce costs. According to Surokivi, these requirements pose new challenges to engineers. CTS Engtec has responded to the challenges by joining other actors in the application of new solutions, such as biogas production and the recovery of waste heat.
Development of energy solutions
From the perspective of CTS Engtec, the Energy fair and the Research & Technology fair are also particularly interesting and have an attractive visitor profile.
- Even though Central Europe is not our main market area, we are constantly examining business opportunities and the development of energy solutions in increasingly integrating Europe,’ explains Surokivi.
- Engineers and energy specialists as well as environmental specialists must be able to use new solutions for the benefit of their customers and apply them in a new innovative manner in familiar and well-established operating environments. As we make every effort to be on the cutting edge of new applications, these fairs provide engineers with an excellent opportunity to compare their knowhow with the level of expertise elsewhere in Europe, says Surokivi, describing the importance of the IndustrialGreenTec event.
Environmental business is a rapidly growing sector
Industrial Automation, Motion, Drive & Automation, Energy, Wind, MobiliTec, Digital Factory, ComVac, Industrial Supply, Surface Technology, and Research & Technology trade fairs will be held alongside IndustrialGreenTec in Hannover.
According to Aleksandra Airikainen, Project Manager at Kouvola Innovation Ltd., environmental business is a rapidly growing sector and for this reason, Kinno selected the environmental event from the broad of range of trade fairs in Hannover.
